Joliet ( JOH-lee-et, joh-lee-ET) is a city in Will and Kendall counties in the U.S. state of Illinois, 35 miles (56 km) southwest of Chicago. It is the county seat of Will County. At the 2020 census, the city was the third-largest in Illinois, with a population of 150,362. == History == In 1673, Louis Jolliet, along with Father Jacques Marquette, paddled up the Des Plaines River and camped on a huge earthwork mound, a few miles south of present-day Joliet. Maps from Jolliet's exploration of the area showed a large hill or mound down river from Chicago, labeled Mont Joliet. The mound has since been flattened due to mining. In 1833, following the Black Hawk War, Charles Reed built a cabin along the west side of the Des Plaines River. Across the river in 1834, James B. Campbell, treasurer of the canal commissioners, laid out the village of "Juliet", a corruption of "Joliet" that was also in use at the time. Just before the economic depression of 1837, Juliet incorporated as a village, but to cut tax expenses, Juliet residents soon petitioned the state to rescind that incorporation. In 1845, local residents changed the community's name from "Juliet" to "Joliet", reflecting the original name.

From the point of sale through service, Cedar Mountain was very pleasant to work with. It was clear from the quote, they know what they're doing. Pricing was very competitive with our other estimates. When we ordered the fence, and immediately after securing our permit, Cedar Mountain handled JULIE and scheduling without any problems. On the installation, our crew was very professional and friendly. They left zero mess and did a terrific job lining up the fence and making our yard look great. I would highly recommend Cedar Mountain to anyone in the area who is looking for great work at a decent price.
I would have given 5 stars but because I almost got in trouble with my good neighbor I have to fairly say 4 stars. All went well except one thing, the workers were not very careful in regards to neighbor boundery. They laid the materials on my neighbors lawn and house sidings, ouch! Thanks Cedar Mtn for my fence, our dogs are happy.

Very pleasant to work with. Response was quick regarding the estimate and questions I had. Crew showed up on time and worked quickly getting things set for one last inspection. All went smooth. They got things finished up quickly after the Village was satisfied, aligning everything and making sure everything was straight and level. Very pleased. My 'boys' enjoy it.
