Lombard is a village in DuPage County, Illinois, United States, and a suburb of Chicago. The population was 44,476 at the 2020 census. == History == Originally part of Potawatomi Native American landscape, the Lombard area was first settled by Americans of European descent in the 1830s. Lombard shares its early history with Glen Ellyn. Brothers Ralph and Morgan Babcock settled in a grove of trees along the DuPage River. In what was known as Babcock's Grove, Lombard developed to the east and Glen Ellyn to the west. In 1837, Babcock's Grove was connected to Chicago by a stagecoach line which stopped at Stacy's Tavern at Geneva and St. Charles Roads. Fertile land, the DuPage River, and plentiful timber drew farmers to the area. Sheldon and Harriet Peck moved from Onondaga, New York, to this area in 1837 to farm 80 acres (320,000 m2) of land.

I am pleased to write a five-star review for Cedar Mountain Fence. We requested quotes from seven different fence companies in the area. From the point of sale through service, Cedar Mountain was very pleasant to work with. It was clear from the quote, they know what they're doing. Pricing was very competitive with our other estimates. When we ordered the fence, and immediately after securing our permit, Cedar Mountain handled JULIE and scheduling without any problems. On the installation, our crew was very professional and friendly. They left zero mess and did a terrific job lining up the fence and making our yard look great. I would highly recommend Cedar Mountain to anyone in the area who is looking for great work at a decent price.
I would have given 5 stars but because I almost got in trouble with my good neighbor I have to fairly say 4 stars. All went well except one thing, the workers were not very careful in regards to neighbor boundery. They laid the materials on my neighbors lawn and house sidings, ouch! Thanks Cedar Mtn for my fence, our dogs are happy.

Very pleasant to work with. Response was quick regarding the estimate and questions I had. Crew showed up on time and worked quickly getting things set for one last inspection. All went smooth. They got things finished up quickly after the Village was satisfied, aligning everything and making sure everything was straight and level. Very pleased. My 'boys' enjoy it.
